How to Attach 1099-MISC to Schedule E

The following process will allow you to add your 1099-MISC to your Schedule E:

  1. First, add Schedule E, and complete the information on the form as it applies to your situation.
  2. Go to the Federal taxes section.
  3. Click on the Review tab on the left-hand side.
  4. Select I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form .
  5. In the search box, enter 1099-MISC.
  6. Add and open the form.
  7. Select This isn’t for business.
  8. Select Yes on question “Is this income from your real estate rental business?
  9. On the next page, select the Schedule E that was completed earlier in Step 1.
  10. Click Save to apply changes.
