Extension Process
If the federal tax extension is filed and accepted, Arkansas automatically grants a 6-month extension of time to file. An automatic extension does not extend the time to pay any amount due.
If you do not need to file an extension for your federal income tax return, you can complete and mail an Arkansas 1055 Extension.
Payment Options
If there is a payment due, it must be remitted by April 15. To make a payment electronically, go to https://www.dfa.arkansas.gov/excise-tax/sales-and-use-tax/electronic-filing-and-payment-options/
