Overview
If your federal return includes information from an Estates, Trusts, REMICs, and Farm Income/Loss and you need to make adjustments or overrides specifically for Massachusetts tax purposes, you can do so using the Estates, Trusts, REMICs, and Farm Income/Loss screen within your state return.
This feature allows you to manually adjust amounts that flow from federal Schedule F or K-1F when state-specific treatment is required.
How to Report
- Navigate to the State Taxes section on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Click the link: I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
- In the dropdown menu, select Massachusetts.
- Click on the General tab.
- Select Estates, Trusts, REMICs, and Farm Income/Loss to open the screen.
- Enter all applicable information.
- Click Save once complete.
