General Information
If you have income from rent and need to report it on your Washington, D.C. return, this is done on the D-30 – Schedule D – Income From Rent screen. Each rental property should match the information entered on your federal Schedule E.
Note: The Real Estate Professional checkbox on the federal Schedule E screen is no longer required for e-file.
How to Add
- Click on the State Taxes section on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Click the link I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
- Click on the dropdown menu for District of Columbia.
- Select the D-30 tab.
- Click on the 30 – Schedule D – Income From Rent screen to add and open the form.
- Enter the Property Number at the top of the screen.
- Complete the following fields:
– Address of Property
– Kind of Property
– Gross Rent
– Depreciation or Depletion - Click Save.
