Missouri – Form MO – Statement of Income Tax Payments for Nonresident Entertainers

Overview 

Missouri requires nonresident entertainers (e.g., musicians, performers, athletes) who earn income in the state to report tax payments made on that income. If you received compensation for services performed in Missouri but reside outside the state, you must complete the Statement of Income Tax Payments for Nonresident Entertainers as part of your MO-1040 filing. 

Who Needs to File This Form? 

You should complete this form if: 

  • You are a nonresident of Missouri, 
  • You performed services as an entertainer or part of an entertainment group in Missouri, 
  • You earned income from performances or appearances in the state, and 
  • Income tax was withheld or paid to Missouri on that income. 

Note: This includes professional musicians, touring artists, athletes, comedians, actors, and similar professionals working in Missouri. 

How to Report 

  1. Navigate to the State Taxes section on the left-hand side of the screen. 
  1. Click the link: I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form
  1. In the dropdown menu, select Missouri
  1. Click on the Other Forms, Worksheets tab. 
  1. Select Statement of Income Tax Payments for Nonresident Entertainers to open the screen. 
  1. Enter all applicable information. 
  1.  After entering all required data, scroll to the bottom of the form and click Save.
