Overview

The California Competes (CCTC) is available to businesses that enter into a CCTC Allocation Agreement with the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz).

The credit is earned and claimed based on whether the taxpayer meets the yearly employment and investment ‘milestones’ outlined in the credit agreement.

Add California Form 3531

To add the California Form 3531:

  1. Go to the State taxes section.
  2. Select I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
  3. In the drop list, select California.
  4. Select the General tab.
  5. Select CA – 3531 – California Competes Tax Credit to add and open the form.
  6. Complete the form with your applicable information.
  7. Click Save to apply changes.
