How to Add CO 104-CR Information

Our software uses two separate screens for entering Colorado credits: CO 104-CR – Part I and CO 104-CR – Part IV.

To access either screen:

  1. Go to the State Taxes section.
  2. Click I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
  3. Select Colorado from the dropdown.
  4. Click the Credits/Rebates tab.
  5. Choose the appropriate Part I or Part IV credit form based on your needs.

What You Can Report – Part I (Refundable Credits)

You may enter the following refundable credits:

  • Business Personal Property Tax
  • Salt Parity Act Credit
  • Heat Pump, Residential Energy Storage, Film Incentive credits
  • Food Accessibility Credit
  • Income-Qualified Senior Housing Credit
  • CHIPS Zone Credit and others

What You Can Report – Part IV (Nonrefundable Credits)

These credits allow entry of both the full credit and the amount applied for the current tax year. Examples include:

  • Plastic Recycling, Childcare Center, Historic Property credits
  • School-to-career and Job Growth Incentive credits
  • Disability, Employer Contributions to 529 Plans, Organ Donation credits
  • Homeless Contributions, Wildfire Mitigation, and more
