GA – Conservation Tax Credit

Article: 50363

General Information

The GA – Conservation screen is used to report a preapproved Georgia land conservation credit. This credit may be carried forward from previous years and can be applied to reduce your Georgia income tax liability.

On this screen, you’ll enter:

  • The preapproved credit amount
  • Any carryforward credit from prior years
  • Your Georgia income tax liability (used to limit the credit applied)
  • The date of contribution
  • Contact details for the donor (name, title, phone, email)

Note: The income tax liability field is highlighted in green to indicate it is an override field. Use this only if the system-calculated liability needs to be adjusted for the credit calculation.

A link to the CR4 Credit Entry for Conservation Tax Credit is also included on this screen, if applicable.

  1. Click on the State Taxes section on the left-hand side of the screen.
