General Information
The GA – Schedule 2 – Georgia Tax Credits screen is used to report state-level tax credits that reduce your Georgia income tax liability. These credits require certification by the state and may be either newly generated or carried over from a prior year.
You can select from an extensive list of Georgia-approved credit codes and enter the applicable certificate and credit details.
Fields highlighted in green are override fields, which override information that flows into those fields from elsewhere in the return.
Supported Credit Codes
Each entry begins with its three-digit code, followed by the official credit name:

What to enter for each credit you claim:
- Code – Select the appropriate credit from the dropdown menu.
- Company Name – The entity that issued the credit.
- ID Number – The identification number for the issuer (check SSN box if applicable).
- Certificate Number – Number assigned to your credit certificate.
- Credit Generated in 2024 – Dollar amount of new credit for this year (override field).
You may enter multiple credits on this screen.
Additional Fields:
- Credit remaining from previous year – Carried-forward credit amount (override field).
- Amount of credit sold – If you sold part of your credit (override field).
- Credit used in 2024 – Total credit applied to this year’s return (override field).
- Checkboxes for Code 114 – Indicate whether your claim involves the standard Port Activity Job Credit or the Port Activity Job Tax Credit variant.
How to Add
- Click on the State Taxes section on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Click the link “I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.”
- Click on the drop list for Georgia.
- Select the Credits tab.
- Click on GA – Schedule 2 – Georgia Tax Credits to open the screen.
- Enter the applicable credit details.
- Click Save.
