General Information
The HI – Schedule X – Dependent Care Information screen is used to provide additional required details about a qualifying dependent for Hawaii’s child and dependent care expense credit.
This screen only becomes active after a dependent has been added in the Federal Taxes section.
It is located under the Credits tab in the Hawaii section.
What to Enter
- Qualifying Dependent – Select a dependent from the list (must already exist on the return).
- Dependent’s Grade – Choose the dependent’s current grade level from Pre-K to 12 or select “N/A” if grade level does not apply.
These entries are used by the system to validate eligibility for the state-level dependent care credit. You must complete this screen for each qualifying dependent.
