DC – Form 2441 – Child and Dependent Care Expenses for Part-Year Residents

General Information

The DC – Form 2441 – Child and Care Expenses for Part-Year Residents screen is used to report child and dependent care expenses that occurred only during the time you lived in DC. This form applies only to part-year residents.

On this screen, you’ll enter:

  • Information about your dependent care provider (SSN/EIN and relationship, if applicable)
  • The amount paid while you were a DC resident
  • The date range during which care was provided

Note: This form is only required if you were a part-year resident of DC.

Note: Be sure to enter your dependent(s) on the Dependent screen and your care provider on the federal Form 2441 before making entries here.

How to Add

  1. Click on the State Taxes section on the left-hand side of the screen.
  2. Click the link I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
  3. Click on the dropdown menu for District of Columbia.
  4. Select the General tab.
  5. Click on the 2441 – Child and Dependent Care Expenses for Part-Year Residents screen to add and open the form.
  6. Enter the applicable data.
  7. Click Save.
