Qualified business entities and individuals use Form 7205 to:

• Calculate and claim the deduction under section 179D for qualifying energy efficient commercial building property placed in service during the tax year
• Identify yourself as a designer or the building owner
• Provide information on the person performing the certification; and
• Provide information on the person completing the allocation.

Add Form 7205

To add the Form 7205:

1. Go to Federal Taxes.
2. Click Review.
3. Click I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
4. Enter Form 7205 in the search box and click on Form 7205 – Energy Efficient Commercial Buildings Deduction to add and open the form.
5. Enter your information and click Save.
