Overview

Form 8843, Statement for Exempt Individuals and Individuals with a Medical Condition, is used primarily by certain nonresident aliens to explain their claim for exempt status from the substantial presence test for U.S. tax residency purposes.

Add Form 8843

To add the Form 8843:

1. Go to Federal Taxes.
2. Click Review.
3. Click I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
4. Enter Form 8843 in the search box and click on Form 8843 – Exempt Individuals/Individuals with a Medical Condition to add and open the form.
5. Enter your information and click Save.
