If you used the Free File Alliance last year, when you log in for the first time in the new tax year, you can either continue with the FFA version or the commercial version of 1040.com. If you meet eligibility for free filing again this year, make sure you that you select the FFA version.
If you decide to continue with the commercial version and then later decide that you want to go back to the FFA version, there is not a way to revert your account. To use the FFA version, you will need to create a new account by going to https://www.1040.com/irsfreefile/home
