CO – Preservation of Historic Structures Credit Certificates

What is This Credit?

The Preservation of Historic Structures Credit is a Colorado income for restoring, rehabilitating, or preserving eligible historic properties. The credit is issued through a certificate and can be used to reduce your state tax liability.

How to Use This Screen

If you’ve received one or more certificates for this credit, you’ll need to enter the following for each:

  • Certificate Number
  • Total Amount Available
  • Amount of the credit you’re using this year

You’ll also indicate whether the credit is being carried forward from a previous year.

How to Add the CO – Preservation of Historic Structures Credit Certificates Screen

To enter this credit:

  1. Go to the State Taxes section on the left-hand side.
  2. Click I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
  3. Select Colorado from the dropdown menu.
  4. Open the Credits tab.
  5. Click on CO – Preservation of Historic Structures Credit Certificates.
  6. Enter your certificate details and click Save.
