If your W-2 includes income or tax information from more than one state, don’t worry! Our software fully supports multi-state entries on a single W-2 form.
Follow the steps below to properly enter multiple states in your W-2:
- Go to the Federal Taxes section and go to Review.
- Click I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
- In the search bar, enter W-2 Wages and Salaries.
- Select W-2 – Wages and Salaries to add and open the form.
- Enter all applicable information.
- Under box 17, select I need to add a state or locality. This will generate an additional set of fields for the states. Repeat this process for each additional state or locality you need to enter.
- Click Save.
