Overview

The Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) is an annual dividend paid to eligible Alaska residents from the earnings of the Alaska Permanent Fund. The Alaska Permanent Fund is a state-owned investment fund that manages a portion of the state’s oil and gas revenue. (please note, this is a different form from the 1099-MISC).

How to report the Alaska Permanent Fund

To add the Alaska Permanent Fund to your return:

  1. Go to the Federal taxes section.
  2. Click on the Review tab on the left-hand side.
  3. Select I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
  4. In the search box, enter Other Miscellaneous Income.
  5. Fill in the applicable information in the Alaska Permanent Fund dividends section.
  6. Click Save to apply changes.
