GA – Income Tax Withholding Statement

General Information

The GA – Income Tax Withholding Statement screen is used to enter Georgia-specific wage and withholding information from a state income document (such as a W-2 or 1099 with state income).

You’ll use this screen to enter:

  • The withholding type, chosen from the following:
    • G2-LP – Withholding for Limited Partnerships
    • G2-FL – Withholding for Fiduciaries
    • G2-RP – Withholding for Real Estate Partnerships
    • G2-A – Withholding for Annual Withholding Statements
    • 1099 – For 1099 forms with Georgia withholding
    • Employer or payer’s Federal ID Number
    • Employer or payer’s Georgia State Withholding ID
    • The total GA wages/income
    • The amount of GA tax withheld

If the Federal ID Number is a Social Security Number (SSN), check the appropriate box to indicate this.

How to Add the Income Tax Withholding Statement

  1. Click on the State Taxes section on the left-hand side of the screen.
  2. Click the link “I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.”
  3. Use the drop list to select Georgia.
  4. Under the General tab, select Income Tax Withholding Statement.
  5. Complete the screen.
  6. Click Save.
