CA – California Form 3510 – Credit for Prior-Year AMT

Article: 50285

Overview

Form 3510 is used to calculate the credit for prior year Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) incurred in a taxable year beginning after 1986.

You may be eligible to claim this credit if:

  • You have an AMT credit carryover from the preceding tax year, or
  • You paid AMT in the prior year and reported tax preference items, excluding those attributable to deferral exclusions.
Corporations must instead use Schedule P (Form 100 or 100W) to compute this credit.
