Attaching a Federal Optional PDF Attachment

To attach a PDF to a return:

  1. Click on Federal Taxes on the left-hand side.
  2. Click on Review.
  3. Click the link I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
  4. Click on the General tab.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and find the Electronic Filing and Banking section.
  6. Select PDF .
  7. Enter the Reference Source, Description, and File Name.

    Make sure the file name ends with .PDF.

  8. At the bottom, click Save.
  9. Select Attach Now.
  10. Click on the Paper Clip to the right of the file name.
  11. Then click the drop area to browse for the PDF attachment or drag and drop the file into the drop-area.
  12. Once you have attached all required PDFs, click Continue and follow the remaining steps to finish the return.
