Completing Forms – A Step-by-Step Guide

You can edit and delete your federal forms on the Federal Review page. State forms can be edited and deleted on the State Taxes tab.

Adding a Federal or State Form

The steps for adding a federal or state form to your return are similar:

  1. From the sidebar menu, follow the applicable path:
    • Federal Taxes > Review > I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
    • State Taxes > I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form. Expand the desired state or add a different state.
  2. Completed forms are displayed on the My Forms tab. Use the search box or tabs to find the desired form. You can search IRS/state form numbers, or keywords.
  3. When you have found the desired form, add it to the return by clicking Add form. Open and complete the screen as needed.

Editing a Federal Form

  1. From the sidebar menu, click Federal Taxes > Review > I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
  2. Completed forms are displayed on the My Forms tab. Click on the form you wish to edit and make the desired changes.

Editing a State Form

  1. From the sidebar menu, click State Taxes > I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form. A list of states for which forms have been completed is displayed.
  2. Expand the desired state or add a different state.
  3. Use the search box or tabs to find the applicable form. Click the form you wish to edit and make the desired changes.

Removing a Form

The steps for removing or deleting a federal or state form from your return are similar:

  1. From the sidebar menu, follow the applicable path:
    • Federal Taxes > Review > I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
    • State Taxes > I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form. Expand the desired state.
  2. Completed forms are displayed on the My Forms tab. Click the trash can icon to delete the applicable form.
  3. Confirm the deletion by clicking OK.
