General Information

The GA – 500 – Information – Page 1 screen collects general information and income adjustments related to your Georgia return. This includes address updates, filing details, withholding amounts, charitable fund contributions, and late penalties.

This screen also supports additional income adjustments that may modify amounts flowing in from your federal return.

Note: Fields highlighted in blue represent Georgia-specific modifications to federal data. Entries in these fields will adjust information already pulled in from other areas of the return.

You can also report:

  • – Georgia Net Operating Losses (NOLs)
  • – Residency situations (e.g., living in multiple states)
  • – Inmate status
  • – Number of unborn dependents
  • – Adjustments for itemized deductions
  • – Penalties and interest
  • – Voluntary contributions to Georgia-based causes and state funds

How to Add GA 500

  1. Click on the State Taxes section on the left-hand side of the screen.
  2. Click the link “I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.”
  3. Use the drop list to select Georgia.
  4. Under the General tab, select 500 – Information – Page 1.
  5. Complete the screen.
  6. Click Save.
