If you are requesting a fee waiver or claiming qualified farmer status on your West Virginia return, you must indicate this on the WV – Resident/Part-Year/Nonresident Income Tax Return form.
Follow the steps below to complete this process within the filing system:
- Go to State taxes on the left side of the screen.
- Go to West Virginia forms and select I’d like to see the forms I’ve filled out or search for a form.
- Select West Virginia from the drop list
- Under the General tab, select Resident/Part-Year/Nonresident Income Tax Return.
- Select the Requesting waiver or qualified farmer check box below line 11
- Fill in the applicable information.
- Click Save to apply changes.
